Restoration

Vehicle was bought to us for reassembly & detailing after “restoration” by another party. The panel beating was found to be of acceptable quality however the prep & paint job were not up to owners expectations.

All suspension & mechanical parts were removed for further detailing & refurbishing.

The van was repainted in Holden “Tiger” metallic clear over basecoat, being the first through our new paint shop/ bake oven. To give further lift, a colour sand & buff has produced a very “shiny” gloss finish.

Further “Bling” was added with the fitment of Deluxe items including chrome window trims, belt line mouldings, mirrors & bumpers.

Underbody received a stone-guard coating and was also painted body colour to allow for easy cleaning and future detailing.

All mechanical & suspension media blasted & painted, new bearings & seals, linkages etc fitted. Also a new 1600cc dual port crate motor. Heat exchangers & quiet exhaust system are ceramic coated for durability & continued good looks.

VW Bay Window Vans.

With the popularity of earlier “split screen” vans the later Bay window vans are also now getting a dedicated following. With more up to date features such as disk brakes, ball joint front ends & double jointed rear suspension there is quite an improvement over the earlier vans.
